Paris Review
Award from The Paris Review
On April 12, 2021, The Paris Review announced T&W as the recipient of a generous gift in honor of our work. The Paris Review Editorial Committee elected to donate the $5,000 usually awarded to the winner of the Terry Southern Prize for Humor to an organization providing financial support to the writing community during a time when funds for the arts are in particularly short supply.
The announcement shared by The Paris Review elaborated:
“T&W was the clear choice, not only for putting the funds toward future award-winning Paris Review writers but for sharing the magazine’s conviction that literature can be transformative at any age.”
The Paris Review, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1953, has always had a dual mission: to promote the most exciting writers of the day and to support ambitious, inquisitive readers the world over. In addition to the award-winning print quarterly, The Paris Review now reaches readers through a podcast, original online writing, and live events.
This award will help us continue to nurture future generations of writers. We are so excited by the recognition from The Paris Review, which has such a long history of celebrating the literary arts.
