T&W is a nonprofit, charitable organization. Contributions to T&W are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law. An unrestricted donation at the following levels will help T&W to:
- $25: Provide supplies for a T&W creative writing program at a public school in New York City or the surrounding communities.
- $50: Purchase books for the resource library in T&W’s Center for Imaginative Writing.
- $100: Hold a culminating celebration at the end of a T&W school program, during which participating young people read their writing to peers, parents, teachers, and school administrators.
- $150: Publish an anthology of student writing at the end of a T&W school program.
- $250: Present a public reading pairing an emerging writer and an established writer as part of T&W’s 2020 Visions reading series.
- $500: Sponsor a professional development session for T&W’s writers.
- $1,000: Publish an article about the teaching of writing or an interview with a well-known writer in Teachers & Writers magazine.
- $5,000: Sponsor a professional writer to provide a 10-day writing residency for 100 students at a school in New York City or the surrounding communities.
